Born on the shores of a small island settlement in the Opal Sea called Kairoa, Rayne was born with rhythm in his bones. He led a simple life until pirate raiders descended on the peaceful island, ever the optimist Rayne approached the pirate captain with an offer “Your crew clearly need entertainment and I obviously need a ride. Win-win?” even to Rayne’s surprise the captain agreed, whether he was feeling merciful or the captain was simply impressed with the genasi’s confidence Rayne never questioned it, unwilling to give the captain any chance to go back on the deal.
So began Rayne Mikaere’s life on the high seas being the first to crack a joke he was beloved by crews for his energetic style and turning even the most turbulent storm into a stage. Unfortunately his unfiltered mouth had a tendency to wear thin on many captain’s patience. Rayne was tossed off crews for “excessive enthusiasm, singing during raids where stealth was crucial, turning the ships rigging into a tightrope performance, befriending too many seagulls” the list continues with many more entries…
Rayne was never one to be disheartened as every port was a new adventure, every dismissal was just a new beginning until one day he happened to stumble across an Archmage (Serla Narren) who was clearly ignorant to the way things worked in Pirate’s Bay. Since then, they have banded together and become close friends.
Serla, ever the book worm, gifted a book of ‘Leadership and Influence’ to Rayne early into their friendship.
Personality: Very extravagant, gets into trouble constantly.
